Project Scope
To provide drinking water for the residents of American Canyon, Calif., HSe designed a 6.0 MGD (22.5 ML/d) ultrafiltration membrane water treatment plant to treat highly turbid (150 to 250 NTU) water to less than 0.01 NTU. Supporting chemical facilities were also designed that required interties to the City's existing supply and distribution system.
Prior to full-scale design, HSe conducted a two-month pilot testing program to evaluate various membrane technologies and selected a technology based on cost, operational ease, and technical performance.
